Thats cool Krish! I can't wait to see it running.

Thanks Ron)

I started on the intake for the closed loop today. I am waiting on the 1.5 inch threaded strainer to come in this week from Premium Aquatics that will go on the end of the intake in the tank. I also made a template today for the cover that will go around the intake so you can't see it in the tank which I will use to make the real thing tomorrow out of blue acrylic. Also, I hope to get the shelf built tomorrow that the pump will sit on above the sump. It will attach from the front brace of the stand to the back brace of the stand. This thing better not leak!!!:)

Looking good, nice planning & design, I like the over the top CL as an option, & that PH will surprise you on the output.

Thanks Scooter! That would be funny trying to hook up that powerhead huh? That little fellow has trouble running a phosban reactor(LOL)

so how does the water get into the intake box? I like the discrete colored acrylic. Hides this very well. Could have also done 3 sides in blue acrylic so that you wouldn't be able to see it if you ever move the tank to be exposed/viewable on 3 sides. It looks like the box will be secured forever, or is it somehow removeable?

LOL...Thanks guys. The whole bottom is open so that is how water will get to the intake. The intake goes down 8 inches so there will be plenty of water to suck. I left the side open so I can be able to look at the strainer when it gets here to know when it needs cleaning or if a fish wants to play hide and go seek I can find him(LOL) Also, that thing is glued to the rim of the tank where the all-glass top would sit (thus the reason for the notch). I'll have to break it out if I ever want to remove it. All I need now is the pump, the hose barbs and the strainer which I should have by Wednesday:)

That's a lot of flow for a tank full of Liverock Krish. =)

LMBO! That'll be some clean rock though:lol: Summer man...You'll see some corals:) Here's a close-up of how it is glued and also 2 full tank shots:)

That rocks Krish. You do really good work man.
Hey did you know you can put corals in those crazy saltwater tanks?
I heard something about it on the news. They say corals can live in your house now.
I think its a load of Clinton if you asked me.
