Well I got tired of not having a good camera so I went and got me one, now (with lots of practice) I can get some good pictures of my tanks and fish. I got a Nikkon D70 SLR this camera seems to be very professional, I think it will take a while for me to learn how to use it right but it should be fun!
here are my first attemps I took at 10pm last night my first time turning the camera on... Let me know what you think. BTW I am only really happy with one of the pictures I think I got lucky you will know which one I am talking about:lol:

Matt

I just got them and yes they are helfirchi's!! I love those things.. I have a thread on here for them.. check it out..

Matt
BTW you still need to come check my tanks out!

i will talk to my dad about coming over, it has been really busy though. we have both been working alot and then when we are not working, we are doing something to my new 240.

Nice pics. Do not do like me. I got decent taking pics then laid it down for 6 months and now it is just like I bought it. I forgot what all the buttons do.

Thanks guys, you know it is amazing how much talent it really takes to get that good of pictures even with this level of camera, it will definatly take lots of practice..

Thanks again

Matt

It is not about the body, it is all about the lense!

thanks Dang I am trying with the cheapy lens it came with as soon as I get some info on which is a good lens for these shots I will go buy it! so let me know what you use..

Matt

wow dang you payed $800.00 just for a lense? thats crazy, I guess if it works right? I would hope that for now I can stay a bit cheaper then that...
I just payed a grip for the body with all my start up accessories..

Matt

awesome pics love the tang got one just like it. isnt it amazing how this hobby can lead to sooo much more. ha love the clam had much trouble out of it some say they are a little picky in the tank and i would like to put one in my girlfriends tank.

Nice photos again Matt! I need to get a new camera again soon and give my Nikkon coolpix to my wife. It's a great camera, but doesn't have interchangeable lenses. Thanks for sharing:)

I would highly recommend the 105 nikkor 2.8. Also for all around get the 18-200 VR.
