Hello Reefers :)

I'm new to RF and 3 years into the wonderful world of salt water keeping/reefing. My first tank was a Oceanic 8g bio-cude which I ran successfully for 2yrs before upgrading to my present tank. An Aquaeon 26g bow front, running for 1+ years.
Tanks specs~
AquaticLife digital control~4x24w T5HO 4x moon LED's. Lamps=ATI 1x aquablue special~1x Coral Plue and 2x blue plus.
CPR HOB Aquafuge Medium 3.6g refugium. Mj 400 intake pump. 1 1/2" aragonite SB, cheato and LR rubble. Loaded with all kinds of copepods/amphipods :)
Attached to the intake pump is a Tom Aquatics Surface skimmer. Without an overflow this is a must have for my tank. Drawing water directly from the surface and depositing it into the fuge.
Flow=Mp10es set on Lagoon and dialed to 4th led light for flow strength. Also I have the gravity fed return from the fuge.
JBJ ATO
25lbs of Pukani
2" Pink Aragonite SB.

Corals=assorted softies/LPS/NPS
1x Tridacna Crocea Clam
3x Maxi Mini's

Inverts=2x blue leg Hermits~2x Sexy shrimp~1x Skunk Cleaner Shrimp~1x Randall's Pistol shrimp (just recently lost his buddy in a Tangaroa Goby) and assorted snails.

Fish ATM=2x Orange FF~1x ORA CB Target Mandarin

Very nice Reeftank Nana, beautifully aquascaped and :welcome: to Reef Frontiers.

Cheers, Todd

Thank you all! It's great to be here. Hoping to make some new on-line reefing friends~one can never have enough reefers to talk tanks with :)

Hey hows the tank coming along.
Any thing new? beautiful tank and great pics. I need more. :D Fuel for the addiction you know! lol

Long time no update. Life issues dontchya know :)

Tanks doing well. Bought a 6 line and 2 days later he/she disappeared. Hasn't been seen since :( No longer using the surface skimmer. Added the Hydor Nano Skimmer again. Now that I'm using an ATO the skimmer is working wonderfully. This skimmer in order to surface skim totally depends on perfect water level. Keeps the waters surface looking like glass, protein free!!

Sold my Fungia and my 16+ head of purple Duncan. Again life issues.

Loosing my favorite zoas. Slowly melting away, without reason of course, as zoas often do.

Small battle with Hydroids of the Digitate kind. Nasty lil buggers, especially on zoas. Total irritants!

Raised my clam up closer to the lights. Using a piece of LR. Doesn't look the best but her health is more important then anything. :)

All in all its all good-lol!

Have made a few changes within the tank. Traded a rather large colony of zoas that were growing up the back wall, into the LFS for a new Scooter Dragonet! He (Scooter) is doing wonderfully! Eats everything! Seems to especially love the Nutramar Ova. I'm using a small glass ashtray as a feeding station for him. Keeps the food in one place without getting blown around. He visits it often throughout the day, staying for several minutes at a time. He also is eating Rods Complete, NLS Pellets and PE Mysis. Oh and Pods :)
I've not had very good luck with the Dragonets. Have lost 2 ORA Target Mandarins in the last 6 months. Neither fish were very good eaters from day one. I feel very luck this time as this Scooter is I believe wild caught. I'm just so happy he's eating and healthy :) He's truly active enough!

Beautiful tank you have there. Very nice job taking care of your little piece of ocean :)

Thanks for the kind words my fellow reefers! Hard yet easy to believe my tank will be 2yrs old come February :) She pretty much runs herself these days. Lil glass cleaning, skimmer/pump cleaning and 1x bi-weekly 20% WC is all I do :)

Hi Reefers! Couple weeks since my last update. Thing about being poor is not much new happens often-lol.

Traded some zoas in for a new Scooter Dragonet!! She's awesome! Eats everything! Especially loves the Nutramar Ova and Rods Complete, and of course pods.

Everything else is doing well also. However I did lose my favorite zoas. Just melted away....

Got big plans in the near future. Upgrading to a MarineLand 56g!!!
31x19x29.5
This is going to be soooo awesome!!

I hate when zoas do that. I've lost many from just melting away.
The scooter is so cute. Tank is looking great. The new tank will be nice with a little extra room. Its always fun to set up a new tank.
Keep us updated.

It is always fun to set up a new tank. The lesson I have learned over time is to take time. When rebuilding a tank. Take the time to plan what you want done with it and make it happen.

I hear ya :) This will be my second upgrade, third tank. Pretty much got the know how down. The tank will not be drilled so I'm looking at either a HOB fuge ( which is what I have now ) an overflow box or an in-tank overflow with surface skimmer. I'm leaning towards the in-tank overflow :)

Why do you not want to drill your tank??
