Don't get lazy on it at all....which most tend to do after a couple months....OR...remove the media. Use the canister to run carbon as mentioned above...and use it for added flow.

Sid you ment remove the sponges right? Not the media? IMO media would include carbon, phosban, etc.

Nice '87-'93 5.0L LX hatch!

Thanks, it's an 89 5.0 5Speed with lots of goodies (its my other Money pit)

A buddy of mine from Shoreline, WA came over today and we went on a cruise to Palisaids (middle of nowhere 2 lane road) and took some pics.

No Photoshop on any of these pics. Yet.

His is a 96 Cobra (I still win)

Ok, back to the watery stuff.

Sid:
Right now I'm running it in this order

Inlet to sponges,

From the Bottom Up
Carbon 2x
Carbon And Biomax
Biomax and PhosPur
Then back in

I clean the sponges every two days (I got into this to be religious about it)
I also rinse the Biomax everytime I clean it.
I plan on replacing carbon monthly along with the Phospur.

Hows that sound?

When is the Next Meeting over there? Hopefully its on my day off so I can swing out there. I'm still cycling right now (Nitrates are 5.0, Phosphates 0.2, and Calcium is at 350PPM). I just put the PhosPur in and set up my Kalk Dripper correctly today. I ordered a PH/Alk and Ammonia Test Today. I still need to get a trite test.

i like the angle on the white car best. But I know Nothing - my husband is the car guy (for a living). :)

yeah, I started out with bio-max too.

But I needed it because I didn't have any LR in the tank. If you have enough LR for your tank then I would do a phased removal of that stuff. (maybe 1/2 a box twice a week?)

Kick ass cars dude!

I plain (after I aquire my own garage to build it in) a project like your friend. I'm thinking a SN95 chassis cobra for starters. Possibly a 95' Cobra R (351cid) :D

Nice stang!!! I love mustangs...Almost bought one last month, but opted for a 4 door so I can load my 7 month old in better:rolleyes: Nothing sounds quite like a mustang if you ask me, but I guess that will come later. For now, I enjoy hearing my blow off valve "sneeze" in my Evoltion :p

Did you import that to the bahamas or are they all LHD over there?

Both, he bought it from Japan and they drive on the wrong side of the road over there. ;)

LOL!! Yeah...It was imported into the Bahamas (right hand drive) and we drive on the left side of the road:)
