do you think this true "L" shape tank will be cool
this is a quick mock up of what wee gonna roll next year.
Any input?
BTW the tank will be 22 " tall for a total of 220 gallons..

yes upgrading to a big "L" shape tank on the same stand and canopy
I just have to buy
another DART pump
one 250w MH set up
a few pieces of plumbing
and possibly a few more power heads.
The rest of the stuff I have. :)
gonna be a cheap upgrade (except the tank itself)

heres the top down bigger

Would getting really good flow though out the tank be an issue with the L shape?

not if your creative with the Closed loop design
I'm gonna run two dart pumps..
one for the front half of the big part and one for the back half and the 30"x18" part
I'll prolly add two more out puts in either back corner of the tank.

That is going to be an awsome tank!!! I still think the T shaped tank would be killer!!! I hope you will go with glass this time around.

Just thinking the logistical part is getting the return from the sump to get to the far end of the tank.
I may have to put the K-4/sea swirl mod in the same manner I have now to spread the clean water out..

so basically your going to take both tanks and combine them into one tank!

This would be awesome IMO
yes but add 6 more inches to the back of the 29 gallon tank (it is now only 12 inches front to back
Basically yes.
This will really ba a 8' tank with with a dog leg.
I can add another tang or two, YEAH!!!!!!!!

Yes I will be going glass this time.. the tank is gonna weigh around 600 lbs. :)
My stand is strong enough to hold up a bus..
I WILL need some help getting it in place.....
I love the clarity of acrylic and the light weight tank.
BUT , it is sooooooo soft and scratchy..

yes glass..
I love Matt and Jason but they don't come out and buff out my scratches on my $1200 tank..
SO i will be getting a glass builder..
I have to go rimless on the bottom but the top can have some supports..

Great decision! You know you got my help with this project!! Blah Blah blah yeah acrylic is lighter. I hate that arguement LOL. How many time does anyone move a tank of this size around LOL.

Hey I'm down to give a helping hand! Best part is I work for free! I would just like to get more experience at setting up tanks of awkward shape and plumbing so I can absorb more knowledge...and beer. ;)

well I can guarantee that PVC glue, and beer will be flowing when this tank gets set in place.
And I could always use a hand or two when this gets done.
Last time I plumbed for 5 nights after work by my self. :(

That will be neat. You have alot of nice shizz. Maybe in the mean time get a tank cycled to move your livestock into? I have a drilled 55 you can have. I got a 29 too. Your welcome to them.
