New to RF

Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum, but not really new to SW tanks. Part of my job involves dealing with large, flow-thru tanks.

I also have a 2ft x 2ft x 8ft aquarium that is currently dry. It *used to* have a pretty good chiller unit and filtration system for coldwater marine organisms. It was used as an educational display. It has been in storage for some time.

My interest in and questions for RF revolve around getting this tank back up and running. I would appreciate any thoughts, ideas, questions on where to start this adventure.

a tank that large probably wont have much eat issues, assuming you keep your lighting under control the more water you have the longer it takes to heat up!!

i'd say your first step is a leak check... does it hold water???

If your going with a reef, I'd highly recommend looking into a DIY LED lighting system.
