Nice to have a rare Coral from a Friend.

I recieved a gift from The Apprentice. That gift was a Chesterfieldus from Charilie and Kevin Po. I am not sure who owned this first. I just know it is rare, beautiful, and it came from friends. I would like to learn more about this coral in hopes of keeping it happy. Can you guys teach me more about this coral?

Yep, I have two types of Camera programing on my PC. I have Kodak and FinePiX. I took some pictures in Raw format, Other than that I can email pix to people. Its just resizing them from original on Pc and worrying about losing it.

With xp you can do a search on windows power toys. Install the resizer program. Now when ever you need to resize, just right click on the file and then resize. It will bring up a menu. Click the small option, then ok. It will make a new file in the same directory just smaller. You can also click the option to resize the original image. This will just resize that file.

I just need to help a friend move a tank after I work 13 hours again.. then hug the wiife, talk to wife, go to sleep. I'd like to see a photo of the A. chesterfieldensis. I have one also and its one heck of a slow grower

The growth form and corallites looks great and rather interesting.

Ditto on the slow grower part. I received a very small frag this fall, and it hasn't grown a bit. Everything else is exploding. Very beautiful coral.

Interesting. I got several frags at once and now think I'm calling the wrong one chester. The two in confusions was A. Kirstyae and A. Chesterfieldensis. I think I got them reversed and the Kirstyae is the one not growing very well. Its a real fine coral, very flourescent. The other one in question looks just like the picture above and has been growing great. Now I'm going to have to get some photos on here for the experts to say.

Thanks PSA for helping me out. I got home late last night and turned my lights back on. My corals were not too happy. But you can see what it looks like. The coral is kind of a chartruese color.

hmm, I just noticed a little starfish on my coral. Maybe I should get a pair of Harlequin shrimp.

I got the coral a few years ago but it has grown very slow. It is also difficult to get the color of it to come out in pictures. psa's pictures are a quite accurate representation of the color, good job!
Here is a picture of the parent colony. Notice the 2 pieces of fire coral that came as hitchhikers. The second picture is from 11/01 soon after I purchased it.
