Lee. I'm winning the fight but still not a total victory regarding Fungus. Please review my post page #54

As I mentioned I have been beating down each infection site by direct treatment at the lesion. Most all lesions are closing and healing over. Left side of fish is now perfect. Right side has about 3 points left that develop recurrence of the fungus after 24 hrs. My process works but is a very tiring effort.

Is their a dip process that will directly kill all fungus on the fish. Please help me to better understand whats going on.

Fish is eating like a pig doing very well in a tank with no chemicals except the effect of the small amount of meth blue. I'd like not to treat the tank itself so the fish can benefit from a cycled bio tank.

The foundation of a dip or bath is that the targeted pathogen is acutely (immediately) affected by the exposure. The fungal infections in Marine fishes are usually only responsive to a chronic (long term, steady) treatment.

I can only recommend a Nifurpirinol treatment combined with Neomycin. Fungi usually can't handle the Gram-Negative treatment along with Nifurpirinol.

Review the last posts Boomer made in this thread: Methylene Blue & Bio-Bandage to see if there are alternatives.

The bacteria in the biological filter are Gram-Positive. Nifurpirinol is a killer of both types (Gram-Negative and Gram-Positive) of bacteria. Neomycin kills the Gram-Negative bacteria. I thought in a later post you had indicated all visible signs of the fungus was gone. If not, then forget the bacteria and do the treatment.

If you use Nifurpirinol, then start making up fresh salt water like it was your life's work. You'll need aged, properly set water to do changes. :)
