I'm sure this is the oldest trick in the book but I'll mention it anyway...

My technique for venting excess CO2 is to open a couple of windows in the tank room, open the cabinet doors, and remove the collection cup off my in sump needle wheel skimmer for a few hours. Works great.

Neither of those will do much of anything. You can pump about 3 cfm of outside air into your overflow drain pipes or drip kalk.

For now I'm using one of these. http://www.aquaticeco.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/product.detail/iid/6579/cid/1769 I'm going to be switching over to kalk if I can get off my rear and finish building the reactor.
