I thought I'd post another pic of my old man foot warmer. He is my office buddy, and always sleeps near me/right on my feet while I'm working on the computer. After I took this picture he quickly covered his eyes with his paws, and managed to give me a dirty look before doing so.

I have a corallife 20" 96 watt 50/50 on his cage. He really glows in the sun though. A camera can't begin to do justice. Thanks for the compliment.

Steve - what kind of bird is that....he's beautiful

Its a Swainsons Lorykeet. Also called a rainbow lory. It is a fruiteating parrot. He is very well mannered, knows probley 50 words maybye more. He is 3 years old. He likes to watch the fish with me. They are very friendly and easy to tame. He is not the least bit afraid of my cats. They are scared of him. The only problem with fruiteaters is that they have very runny poop and lots of it. Well and that all parrots are destructive and noisy. If you can put up with the down side, the upside is a very loving and intelligent pet that can use and seems to understand words. They live between 15-30 years. Hope that answers your question. If you want to know any more I can hook you up. Steve

Awsome pets guys, Fish are my current love but when I sit down to watch them my 55 lb Bassett Hound Elvis is there with me. Along with Elvis we have a cockatiel named Pooh, an armadillo lizard named sooner, two New Zealand white rabbits named Fuzzy and Bugs, that and five children rangeing in age from 15 down to 4.
No wonder I am grey-headed.

Here's JR! He cost me around $500 when I first got him, had a parasite that the vet. couldn't get rid of, 5 years and kickin!

JR looks tough as nails, is it a Maine Coon? Or just a huge Tom cat? Here are a couple more of my bird. He like to pose for the camera.

Scooterman, JR looks like some butt kicken is about to take place...not sure what happened there? Was he bugging you while you were relaxing?

Now that is one colorful bird!! Gorgeous

Jr. has a tendency to leave marks if you decide to play ruff.
That is an awesome looking bird.

I'll tell him you said so, that ought to swell his head even more. He thinks he owns everything. One his favorite words is MINE followed by STOP IT. When I play with his toys. I don't know that he knows what he is saying but it sure seems like it. Thanks you all.

These are my girls. The cat is Cassie (2yrs old) and the dog Kate (1yr old), and YES they are extremely spoiled (They are on the bed in this pic). Kate is a pure bred field lab and has all the qualities. She love to chase birds, dig and will retrieve anything. You can't see from the pic, but she has really long legs and is skinny for a lab. I have another cat (Oliver 4yrs old), but he really hates the dog so is never around her. Kate loves to torment him by chasing and catching him in between her paws. :)

house cats

Well, Gracie is the mental siamese, and Cleo is from the rescue centre. Both have very strange habits, and both function as scalp massagers at 4;30 every morning when they promenade across the top of the bed (ie our heads). Cleo eats, sleeps and likes fussing and thats about it (like me) and Gracie runs around yowling bouncing off things and generally being freaky. Other than that she likes lap napping and chasing house spiders.

Winston Churchil said that he liked pigs, because "man looks down upon dogs, and cats look down upon man, but pigs look at us as equals"

How true
