Purchased this 3.5 inch sub-adult Passer (aka King) angelfish from an online vendor.

Second day in QT and is already eating Rod's Food. Plan on starting a 5-7 day PraziPro treatment tomorrow. It will be in QT for 4 wks.

..and yes people I have pics this time !!!

Outstanding Angelfish Kirk, with all those Purtifull fish in there who needs corals...lol

Todd

Very pretty! I love angelfish, but couldn't sacrifice my coral for fish. I'm lucky enough to have a big coral beauty and a huge flame angel that don't touch anything.

not from divers den...yes, they sent me a good healthy one..is eating mysis and rods food..

Beautiful fish Kirk.

I had one once along time ago. Mine got ornery and killed a similarly sized undulated trigger. Be careful, Passer's can get MEAN.

Nick

Nick,

I was aware they can get mean which is why I'm getting all my large angels the same size (3-5 Inches).
Hopefully this will curb some aggression.

My goal is to have 6 large angels

I know you are a knowledgable and experianced hobbyist who takes excellent care of his critters.
My experiance with the Passer that I kept many years ago was an eye opener (no pun intended) and caused me to rethink having one ever again.

What are the 6 large angels you've picked out?

Nick

I once caught a juvenile Queen Angelfish, but put it in my friends tank because I already had a juvenile French Anglefish and didn't want to mix the two. Angelfish IMO, are very personal fish. My French started eating out of my hand less than a week after getting him and this was a fish caught in the wild. I've had a Frenchie in a tank of mine about 3 different times in all different sizes as juveniles. I wish I had a picture of the Queen I caught, but here are two of the French's I caught.

This first one I caught, took his picture and released him.

And then you know this picture is old. I have sand in there!! This was the one that ate out of my hand. His best friend was that green wrasse you see next to him. :)

Nick,

Blueface (currently in the DT)
Majestic (currently in the DT)
Passer (currently in the QT)
Regal (would perfer a Red Sea (but whoa they are expensive now), but Maldives or Vanutau will do)
Emperor
Queen

I spoke to Bob Fenner about my plan to having multiple large angels and he said it CAN be done, he said make sure you have at least 5 so that territories cant be estabilshed which should reduce aggression.

We will see how this goes....

so far the majestic and blueface are getting along, no issues <knock on wood>.
