Pump comparison?

It IS pressure rated specifically, you can look at the curve, that is 1,550 gph @ 32 feet LOL!
Tell me what size your Iwaki is, I think it compares to them with a chart. It is compared to an Iwaki 70RLT.

Mine is an Iwaki 100rlt

and that was just for the skimmer. My mistake on your pump....I had not looked at the flow/head graph. When I did review the Marine Depot site, it indicated Max flow of 1550, and Max head of 32 feet. Also, that the Marlin would be the equal to my Iwaki, albeit with better power consumption (2.7a vs. 3.4a).

The pump I am looking to replace, on an existing system I am setting back up, is a Hayward 3/4hp pressure rated pump. Going price of around $300. I would rather spend more up front and save on the power bill. The Haywards also tend to be rather noisy, so a quieter pump would be nice.

Sweetwater makes bigger pumps that would suit your needs in power consumption, Look at the links I posted above, pricey but they work well.
