My RBTAs are getting pretty darn big and are all pretty much right next to each other. They have their feet burried in holes in the rocks so getting them out would be difficult at best but they sure make for a pretty sight. They are all a very nice deep color.

Those are some really nice nems!
Thanks for sharing!

so whats the different rbta i see yourse and then i see the ones that have the big fat round tentacles. can some1 clear this up for me

That is the only problem with that awesome porus Tonga branch rock. My GBTA is attached to a hole in a piece of porus Tonga branch the size of two basketballs. I'm in big trouble if I ever decide he needs to move. At night, he shrinks and you can tell he's attached to the rear bottom portion of the rock under an overhang, but during the day it appears he's up on top of the rock unless you look closely to see where he's attached.

Your nems are gorgeous. It's neat to see them in a colony like that :)

I think its just the animal. I had one that had really pretty bubbled tips and the other two I have, have longer tentacles. It could be the flow, it could be the lighting. I dont think there is reason for why one bubbles and one doesnt. Just the animals attitude. I have read in places that they are starved for light if their tentacles are long, but I dont think thats the case.

just something i have heard is they bubble when not happy....elongate when they are very happy....just what i have heard from other reefers....im to scared to have any in my tank and do a nightly stroll and wipe out all my sps

*shrug* Mine bubbles after I feed it. Most of the rest of the time it's more elongated. I'm not sure if that means it's happy or unhappy, but mine hasn't wandered since I first put it in the tank. It found a spot it likes and has stayed there.

One of the reds wandered up to the rest of them and the green I put in a couple of weeks ago and it has stayed in the same place.

Now see...I've heard just the opposite.
So does anyone really know. I dont think so. If the nem is not moving around, its happy where it is and if it has good color, its healthy, thats all that matters.

Airphotog, yours look very healthy. Beautiful nems.

The two I have, acually 1 RBT and 1 GBT, are fed extremely well by my clowns. The one RBT that I had that was not hosting, I did feed once a week. Just a piece of shrimp or scallop or silverside. If my eel didnt eat his silverside, I usually fed it to on of the nems.

They very between both. I belive that the flow is what helps the decision.
