So long story short, I've been having trouble getting my corals to open. I think I finally figured out my issue. I had two tube connectors on my return that were made out of either brass or copper. I am yet to figure out which one yet. I know dumb! I have yet to test my water to see how much has gotten in my water, but I am looking for advice if anybody had had any experience with that on how to get rid of the medal. I just finished a 35% water change and I would appreciate any advice anybody has on this issue.

Thanks.

Activated Carbon removes metal as well, Right? Or is that sulfer that it removes?

Yeah Carbon will as well. I have that running too. After I removed the brass connectors I did a water change and then next day my corals looked a ton better. I put a poly filter in, and i'm running cuprisorb and carbon in my dual reactor. I picked up a copper test before I did all of this too and it read 0 so even the smallest amount of any medal can cause a major issue. My corals are doing much better now.
