I appreciate the frags from everyone! But I will take the common Frag to the nice ones! It would be nice to have a frag of everything as a 700 gallon will be able to fascilitate many new frags! I think all sps corals are beautiful in there own way. I dont need the best of the best! Anyway looking forward to everyones generousity and having you all come over. Talk to you soon!

lol that is big... I had to take my door and frame off just to get my stand in... I take it you have french doors..lol

If you have a lower-light place in your tank, I would be glad to contribute one of my Big Green rhodactis:

It expands to about 8 or so inches across.

Congrats Eric, you won't be disappointed, with Eric and Jason you've got the two best tank guys around putting this together for you. Mark won't be needing to slap on any acrylic patches where the top is coming apart on this one. When I was down helping you redo your ill fated tank, you probably don't remember the fingernail sized frag I found in the rubble. It turned out to be a beautiful metallic green hydnophora, I will definely bring you a frag of that when you are ready.

Jason introduced me to Randy Harp this week, this guy is a genius, he is designing and installing a counterbalance lift system for my hood, I'll be able to raise it with a finger, and no worries about any mechanical failure of electrical devices. I'll be posting pictures of it on my thread in a couple of weeks, another option for you to consider, it would be relatively easy for him to install it before you have the tank in place if you are interested, he's working around my tank which adds a whole nother level of difficulty.

I'll look forward to watching the progress of your system, best regards, Joe

I have a colony of what I believe is Acropora cervicornis that is growing too fast for my tank. It is different colors in everyone elses tank. Green in some, lavender id others. Mostly brownish day and green night in mine. Have passed out many large frags of it, and perhaps it would look better in yours. When will you ready for corals?

Eric,

I have to agree with what Joe said. You will NOT be disappointed. Absolutely the best built tank I have ever owned.

You are more than welcome to stop by and see the tank and more importantly the plumbing work (which includes an automated water change to the crawl space).

Thank you for the kind offers! Looking forward to What Eric has to say about the hood! He is wanting to go electric! I will ask him about Randy! Thank you for the tip!

P.S. I will take the greeen carpet if the offer still stands!

Thank you

Eric

Salsaking Update

Well here are a few more pics to look at. The stand is back from the finisher and is now ready for whatever you can toss at it. We also have the pallet for the tank to rest on during the trip to Eric's. Looks like we decided to skip the electric lift system and are now doing the Harp Gravity System; similar to what Joe is adding to his wet dream. The tank is under way and I should have some pics of that coming up in a few more days...

Large top...

Here we go......First tank pic....The top getting all finished up...Again the tank is 96x56
Just to give you a clue as to how big just this one piece of acrylic is. It seems to have lightened up a bit thought; after a few wholes :)

Good move going with the Harp Gravity Lift Eric, mine may be done this weekend, Randy and I will be trying to finish the installation today and tomorrow, Eric will also be up tomorrow to help out, you should come up and check it out, it would be worth your trip , best regards, Joe

Thank you for the offer but I was in Moses Lake Washington to see some friends. My Wife left for girls weekend to Washington DC and I had the kids. so took them horse back riding and bowling over there.

Thank you Joe for the offer though! Would have loved to have seen it along with your gorgous tank. Some other time perhaps.

Look forward to Jason time here at the shop along with the sames sytem your getting. I like supporting the local hobbiests for sure.

Talk to you soon!

Eric

Mines being built with 3"x2" square stock for $850
my tanks 11'x5'

Price is neither here nor there in this matter. It depends on where the steel came from, who did the work; trained or hobbiest, what the finish is, if any and just the material prices vary alot from state to state and country to country....Also remember, you get what you pay for in this hobby!!!!
