Server Software Upgrades Coming

Well, it is that time where I nearly have no choice but to upgrade server software to the latest and more secure standards. What does that mean? It means I have to backup the entire server, get the server fully wiped out and reinstalled with the latest server software, and attempt to restore the data back to the way it was. I will be crossing my fingers for sure.

When will this happen? Probably in the next couple of weeks. So, if you see the site go down, it could go down for a day or two for all of this to take place. So I wanted to give ample warning before it happens.

Again, I hope all goes smoothly. Always nervous in big steps like this ... :lol:

Well worst case we start over I can start building new forums threads etc, what a Joy Wait Wait no no that would not be fun! Well make a good back-up or two & we will hope for the best!! RF will not go down without a fight!!

Unfortunately it will not be anything you guys will see. It is all server software, backend stuff, not any of the stuff we use here that is visible to anyone.

MDM, I wish you the best of luck. What a way to spend a weekend!! I was wondering how I was going to survive without RF for a couple of days, however, if you do it this coming weekend, PERFECT. I'll be out of town most of the weekend attending my 20 year HS reunion!!! You musta planned this around my schedule huh?
