I remember you had a bunch of those rubbermaid containers as well right Mike?? If so, still using them?

Great setups everyone!
For me, filtration all starts here in the surface movement and overflow,

turbulent water keeps the detritus suspended helping to lift it into the overflow.
I use a closed loop only for circulation,

Then I dropped down and through a wall into the garage where a 100g rubbermaid catches it.

Here I have my skimmer, frag tank and other equipment hooked up. It's all on a manifold running on one reeflo marlin

I do heavy skimming with Beckett's.

Then it all go's to the next sump where I have my zeovit reactor.
This is the last stage and the water is ran through a chiller and back to the DT.
I keep carbon in a mesh bag and knead it daily to get the optimal usage and to prevent channeling.
I am posting this for ideas. I do not have this running anymore but wanted to contribute. I'll show my freshwater and water change station later.

I'm just starting (3months) want to set up a Refugium under my 75gal Saltwater. I need a simple design, have a Rio 2100 and Super Pro Skimmer and a old 55gal tank for refugium. Would love the assist to make this a even better enviroment.

My filtration is simple

Water enters top right, Macro algae, sucked into maxijet 900 in right side chamber and pushed up thru media chemipure, drops into DT

Haha! It doesn't matter. Just it up. I don't think anyone could beat Gabby's (spongeboblover) setup with the toothbrush holding up the light etc :lol:. My first setup was terrible!! I think the pics are no longer viewable, but it isn't a contest. Just something to give people some ideas as well as show off your filtration setups

120g Dt that needs a pellet reactor and larger skimmer
800gph overflow box

Bubble magnus curve5 that empties into a 2litre coke bottle

And back to the DT with a 500gph pond pump. I need to add some water.
