Alright I have several of these anenomes in my tank and I'd like to know what they are? Anyone have any ideas? I believe there are three different types in here.

1. Little green guys with bright pink tips. (1st) & (upper left of 3rd image)

2. Pale red thin tenticles. (upper left of 2nd)

3. "dark" red with bulbus tenticles. (lower right of 2nd) (middle of 3rd)

I'd appreciate any of your assistance.

Brian.

I think they are all majano or one might be an aptasia. Both considered a nuisance as even though some are kinda "cute" they spread like wildfire.

the first one looks like some kind of condylactis. the other ones looks like some kind of polyp!!!

Here's a bump...Some definately look like they can be mojanos which are considered pests. Hopefully we can get more feedback and confirmation on it:)

I agree with jesshimom. Majano's and aiptasia. Both are considered pests and the majano's will spread rapidly....

Agreed. The first pic (tulip anemone) is what Majanos can mature into if they have good lighting, but the juvi clones will still be brown as in the second pic. All are pests due to the rate of reproduction and their aggressiveness toward others including your zoas.

That's what I was needing to know... Well I had eliminated others that were immediate threats to my corals but I wanted to identify these before I just Jo Juiced them.

Thanks for all the help.

If you end up with any of the majanos or aiptasia that are on smaller rocks or loose I would gladly take them off your hands.

Thanks,
