I have a canon rebel xs with the stock 18-55 mm lens. I took these pics and would like to get any feedback on what i can do better. I took the photos in raw format, then brought them into canons software to change to jpg for uploading.
Let me know what you all think

I think they look really good! I have a cannon rebel xt and can't take pictures with it to save my life! LOL

looks good! Does ur camera have a macro setting or little flower sign setting lol? Ive heard that and a tripod make a world diffrence! How much are those cameras if u dont mind me asking u guys? All ive got is a little digital camera...i think its a samsung....im at work right now lol!

Ya my camera does, but i don't use it. I use a custom setting, where i can set white balance, iso, and few other things. Then i setup on a tripod and set it to a 3 sec timer. No flash. Camera like mine is around 500 with 18-55mm lens included.

thats not bad! i may need to invest in that....it blows my nikon digital out of the water!

They look great as do the corals. Try to focus manually to see if that helps with the out of focus.

Don

They look great.. yes, manual focus will help with the camera focusing where IT wants and not where you want.
I have a CANON XSI and I use a stock lens (18-55) and can get some SUPER SWEET pics with it. even "macro type"
