Wow, that looks awesome Mike! Nikki, I'm officially jealous....might be willing to hold your purse again some day if I get a sneak peek of the tank as payment.
Nikki,
what are the dimensions of the new 120?
What did you do w/ the old un-used 90?
Nick

Szdils ahh I think we have a different name for the same thing. I use the schedule 80 BH's that have the 1/4 gasket. is that what you are refering to as a O-ring?? If so them we are on the same page.

Thanks, Nick...I'll be sure to hold you to your offer of holding my purse again. You are very good at it. The tank is 48" X 24" X 25" See the construction of it here. The unused 120gal is still in it's place on the stand.....awaiting its destination of either being sold or used for a softies tank. I think it would make one heck of a Mantis Species Tank :D

I hope you guys help me, when I can get things going, I want a fish room:)
You guys better help or ELSE :)

just dogging ya Mike. you have read enough of my posts to realize i am a master at the english language.

it is a semi-closed loop. depending on the height of the durso standpipes you control the height of the water into the trough. as long as the water does not break over the trough you will not get bubbles into the CLS. the over flow will just act like a particulate filter, keeping fish out of the CLS inlet.

a 4' lenght of overflow will handle 3000gph! i thought this is how you had yours plumbed Mike. i thought all of your inlets were in the coast to coast overflow.

G~

no G~ just under the overflow, that way it kinda hides it a bit.
Its all good buddy, ;)

Mike

Perhaps I'm missing something, but where is the return from the sump going to be?

Michelle, the returns will probably come up and over the back. Not much room left after all the CL holes are drilled.

Ok all done
a little drilling

them add some plastic

all the manifold is glued and ready to go, I will walk you through attaching it to the tank itself, so manifolds on.

And one last with the drain line for the CL and th MBV attached...Nick are you watching??
