Starboard = cuttingboard?

Well your link didn't work for me, but yes starboard is a type of white cutting board that is slightly textured. Pretty much any food safe plastic will be fine to put in your reef tank. So that will probably work just fine.
 
Starboard is uv rated, and cutting board is not, just plain old uhmw. What is the reason for using this as a substrait for a reef? I just couldn't figure this out on my own. Thanks, Mike
 
the cutting board I bought IS UV rated. You dont have to pay for the name "starboard" in order to get UV rated material.
 
Mike, the bb tank imo needs somthing on the bottom incase theres a fall. like a rock. I used a black acrylic sheet on my new set up. It also stops the light from my refugium from shining up into the main tank. Hope this helps ya.
