Suction cup issue

I had a maxi-jet power head about 2 years old and it started keep on falling.
I already use a scraper to clean up the area but not help.
Do you have any trick to prevent that happen.

Maybe use the attachment that comes with to hang it over the edge of the tank, and tywrap some eggcrate to it, don't know if it will work or look any good, but you could try. HTH

kc - I've read of this little trick, and maybe it will spark some ideas if this won't work for you. Some people take a piece of acrylic and make it the height of the tank, then glue the suction cups onto it. The bottom of the acrylic then gets wedged in the sand (obviously will need a substrate for it to work). Have you tried to purchase new suction cups yet? Sometimes new ones are all that is needed.

Lowes sells quarter sized rare earth magnets. Glue one to the maxijet, the other goes outside.
