Sorry I pissed you off earlier. So I hear you got a blue acro? Can I have a frag of it? Im growing out my geen monti cap, and my green stylophora if you want a frag in a few months/

first of all i dont think you tank is stable. u dont have the test stuff to know, or good lighting ,

this acro needs lots of light, and i will only trade for rare for super nice ****, the blue acro i have, the **** would be sold for 100$ if i was some frag shop,
maybe some day when your tank is ready and u got somthing for trade

My apologies to Nick and Scott...

I did not realize that we are talking of different Overflow devices. You are talking about the CPR and I am talking about a cheap $20 dollar DIY. I dont have experience with CPR overflow....

So I can see that you need an Aqualifter 24/7... Why? I dont need one on mine (DIY), except for starting it when I clean the overflow and remove the water from it. But thats it. Is there a design problem/flaw with it? Maybe SWT should consider this also before buying it. Or maybe SWT should not buy it at all...

What is the problem with it in the first place? You mentioned that it starts to collect bubbles? Hmmmmm.... But the way I see it is, those bubbles should be carried away by the very strong flow flowing thru it. Hmmmm... what else causing it?

You also mentioned that on tube overflow (which i use) has problems specially when snails or some debris blocks the inlet.... what if you use two tube overflows to make sure that you have redundancy. Will this solve the problem?

In my overflow, I only use one, and maybe I should do two. I also have snails inside my oveflow but never failed... maybe I should look into it why...

Oh, ok.... I learned that my overflow inlet has a spacing of 1/4 inches from the bottom part of the overflow.... enough for the water to flow thru but not enough for the snails... maybe thats it. maybe I can drill some holes on my inlet tube overflow and just make sure that holes are below the water line inside the overflow box... in that case.... water will still have other means of getting to the tube even if you have a debris block it.

But lets say that you are using the aqualifter 24/7. What if this one fails? What will happen? What about additional noise it makes? Another factor to consider to this already complicated hobby....

Well, im just saying that there are other overflow out there that doesnt need extra help.

And about the "YOU CANNOT FIT ANYTHING ON A 10 GALLON" thing... Maybe that is true if you are going to use big stuff... But like I said to my previous thread... that I am using a Euroreef 6-1 on a 10 gallon glass sump... And the diagram above are specifially designer for 10 gallon tank.

I agree, that it is highly recommended that you use a tank bigger than 10gallon to use for a sump.
