I think this picture sums up how I was feeling during this project...this was about halfway through the first night's disaster

Looks like alot of people stepped up and gave you a hand moving it.
When my 240 showed up, several people had to cancel, so I only had 4 suction cups and 4 people. And my corals sat around in containers for 2 days.
How do you like the tank itself?

The tank is nice. They did a really sloppy job with the silicone. I spent like two hours scraping it off the front panel and sides. There were a couple of chips on the corners where they had strapped the tank to the pallet. Now that it's filled you can't even notice that stuff so whatever. Their customer service really pissed me off and they overcharged me on the shipping (said it weighed 640lbs) UPS informed me it only weighed 575lbs. I guess that's how it goes (glue sniffing hicks...haha)

oh boy what i heard from the other is true,,glad that i did not have to go through when i'm looking for the tank for my restaurant from them,,good info jeff and finally you caught that schrimp:D

So the updated loss list:
1)Frogfish
2)Oregon Tort Frag
3)Bali Tricolor Frag
4)Green Slimer Frag
5)German Green Small Frag
6)Atlantis Shades of fall acro Small Frag
7)Blasto Merlettis Part of the mother colony
My Cali Tort is hurting but I'm pretty sure this one will pull through

Sorry about the losses. I'm sure you can trade some of those awesome aussie acans for anything on that list. BTW, you had a frogfish in you tank? I didn't see him.

the frogfish was living in my frag tank...i built a compartment in the new sump for him, however, he didn't make the move... i think he got S.A.D (sudden angler death)

Mark is the housemate/best friend...brother works too... He lives with robyn, ayla and I (they were in San Diego for the move)...I should also mention partner on this 240g venture

Looking awesome. So how much would you say you guys strained to move it? Did you use the suction cups as the only method of grabbing the tank?

It could have been moved with 4 people with the suction cups but have the extra hands definately helped once it came time to placing it on the stand. Those suction cups made a world of difference. So you know they're $10 a piece to rent. Well worth the money IMO.
