Week-end road trip

Since the shop burned its been hectic so we decided to get away for a speed vacation or 4 day week-end road trip.

Long beach kite festival.


next day was foggy


Off to Astoria


Down to Canon Beach


Over to Portland Governor hotel

Down to the Chinese garden then back home to Tacoma


First vacation if you could call it a vacation in 25 years.

Nice, Don I really like the Oregon coast and used to travel it all the way down to Coos Bay regulary for business. Seaside, Canon Beach, Depot Bay, Florence and Bandon were my favorites. Oh and I thought taking a real vacation every 10 yrs was bad...lol

It was nice. Ive always been more of a woods and river guy so this was the first time ive been to the coast in WA other than the puget sound. Portland sure is a pretty place the old building are amazing compared to what we have locally.
This old church was cool, probably should have straightened the picture.
