Wet vs. Dry Skimmate

I am really afraid of negative effects on the tank with this.
It has me worried sick.

Hey Dr, It took my tank a full 2 days to return to normal. In that time I emptied the skimmmer a whole lot of times. I didn't do a water change, and my sps corals slimed up like crazy too. I only had the sock on there for about a minute. I did the same thing as nikki, pulling the tube out to dial down my euro reef style skimmer as low as it would go. I hope that your tank is ok soon. I experienced no long term ill affects from this, except for feeling like a jacka@@
