What do you put under your stand?

Messy but not as bad as it looks, I have a GFIC, & two surge protectors with less than half the rated max loads on each, just a mess.

I am trying to protect the woodenm floors underneath. If the stand sits on the edges of the corners it could still leave a depression on the wooden floors.

Intereting Idea G~

Curious how large that setup is..

sorry, been busy, did not notice the responses. this is for my Wife's tank. her name is Nikki, not the same as here, so as not to confuse.

anywho, this is under a 75g with a 20g viewable refuge. it also has a custom sump near 10g in size in there. also on the right side there is a custom 2g acrylic live food tank. all in all it is really heavy. the footprint is bigger than the tank itself to help with stability when i do need to slide it.

G~ I didn't know that those round sliders could hold that much weight. I assume that your wife's set-up probably weighs in at about 1100+ lbs.

i did not either, but the box said up to 2500lbs! if i were to do it again i would put a lot more under it. i have no doubt that it is supporting it fine, it would just slide easier with more of them.

After talking to some people I think that the best thing to do is to put nothing under my stand. If I out anything under there (e.g. rug, mats, teflon, etc), there is just more of a chance that water will get trapped under the object. The stand was constructed to have the stand floor removeable so that if any water does get under the stand I can remove it and dry out the wooden floors underneath.
