Guess what??? My ac isn't working already! The thing iced up!! :peace:

Bunch of morons!!!!. So once again I'm without ac untill tomorrow when they can hopefully come and check it. My dad is certified in air-condition and refrigeration and says they probably didn't vacuum the system properly before gassing up, or they either over gassed the thing or didn't put enough. Too bad he lives on a different island. Could have the thing sorted out tonight! Not looking forward to the bs they will tell me tomorrow. I'll have to remind them of the nails and wood that fell out of the return when I changed the filter. Who knows what is going on up in the attic! Gotta love the Bahamas

Come spend a winter up my way...you'll never complain about the heat again. :smow:

Bummer Krish,
I sure hope you did not pay them in full.
I would be tearing them and the owner a new one.

Oh, Krish, so sorry. You need to move to the beautiful pacific northwest.
Really am sorry for your trouble with the airconditioning.

Maybe it's the Bermuda Triangle syndrome. We are without a/c too, but then again it only hit 62 degrees today.

Haha!! Well when your heaters break and are freezing, you'd wished you lived here!! :p. I de-iced it last night, shut it back on and it cooled all night so we will have them come back out and see what's what today. Hope I don't have these issues when I start a new tank

I can't believe this new system is already giving you issues. I know the Trains come pre-charged with freon, so If the lines were contaminated they should of vacuumed them prior to releasing the freon. Normally the freezing up is like your father said or low freon. I'd be fuming by now, sure glad you got it so cheap HUH?:yell:

Your right about the freezing, last winter we had an ice/snow storm and the power was out in the county I lived in, for 5 days and temps in the 20s, never again, we moved to a not so remote area. I know about where you live, I was stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in 1970, use to go to Jamaica on weekends once in a while, I loved it there. You are farther north and probably have more humidity. We didn't have or need a/c in Gitmo, it was perfect weather most of the time. Hope everything's back to normal.

Thanks! Everything is back to normal. They didn't tighen something and so gas leaked out . They tightened what they needed to, re-gassed it up and now it's piping cool air again. We are supposed to have a cold front passing through soon so hopefully we will get in the low 80's/ high 70's
