ok thanks, i had them refinish my acrylic tank. gave them a 100 bucks and it looked the same as when i dropped it off. lol
any idea where i can get some this weekend?
with the "toxic" stuff have you noticed and side affects?

I'd use weldon #3.
Don't think Home Depot or Lowes carries it. Maybe Capital Supply, downtown Oly by the lake.
I know McLendons in Puyallup carries it.

That stinks. Ive only had em cut acrylic for me...i buy it from em out of the used leftover section too.

No side effects and ive used it for awhile now. Deff let it dry up before getting wet...like at least a day or two. Put an add up for weldon...maybe obd could help u out idk...

I have a spare tube of #16, but I don't think I'd do a complete build with it. Only use it to reinforce corners if I wasn't sure about my edges being absolutely perfect.

ok think that stuff would work just to put baffles in? i'm useing an old 75 gallon acrylic tank and just need to secure all the baffles

I should be fine, but will take a good 24 hours to cure.

Your welcome to it.
I would like it replaced instead of cash.
You know where I live.

great thank you. ill let you know. i have a few projects i need to do today.
where do you get your acrylic locally? Lowes?

just called mclendons and the guy that answered in paint says they dont carry it. do you know where they keep it?

lol
I just went through the whole ordeal last week. Fortunately there are a few very paitent members here.
It is in the lumber department by the acrylic and wood dowels.

Yeah. Thank you and thank you again for the info and offer. Me and a friend took a trip and hit sonic. I while I was there I had a guy cut me some acrylic. Cost me about 45 bucks and he cut one piece an inch short. Then two others a half inch short. Now I have to go back.

You could have always gave a call to that guy at Clear Fabrications, he would have cut to size the acrylic for you, and shipped it to your door for way less than that. Also could have shipped you the solvent as well. Mabey next time!

:frusty: i dont know why i didnt think to hit you up. would much rather pay shipping then 20 bucks in gas.
i could use your opinion on something. im using a old 75 acrylic tank for my sump. it was a good bow to it so where i have the baffles its tight on bottom then about a 1/2 gap at the top of the baffles. my idea was to use some kind of silicone to fill in the gap. what would you recomend using or doing? aquarium glass silicone?

considered returning all the acrylic i bought saturday and having some cut to fit the bow but im thinking that would be expensive and a pain in the butt

Why not cut a piece of acrylic to fit?
It's easy to cut a piece that is 1/2" wider at one end.

not as hard as you think give yourself a lil more credit than calling yourself un talented. the worst that can happen is u fill it in. but will be way better than filling a half inch...
