    Maybe fin rot?

Hmmmmmm. Good to know everyone :) I don't see any serious aggression from anyone. If any of the fish, it's the male clown that will snap at other fish if they are in his (and the female's) territory for too long. I do have hermit crabs in the tank--not too many. I think they are killing each...

    Maybe fin rot?

Looked up a bit on fin rot, but not sure if what I see is that. And, unfortunately, it's really hard to take a picture of the moving fish.... The A List 1. Fish: Yellow Tang, green clown goby (both appear unaffected). 6-line wrasse. A mated pair of black clown fish 2. Tang--3.5 inches...

Are these guys spawning or group pooping??

Yes, I have found a few. I had quite a few at one time--like 8 or so that I could count at one time, but recently I've had some fluctuations in my nitrates, and I think I killed off most of them. That and the literally 100's of baby snails that covered my tank. It was wild!

    Rash from Hammer coral?

random question--when cleaning my tank the past 3 months or so, I've noticed when I've accidentally brushed gently against one of my hammer corals, over the next couple days, I've had a severe rash on my forearm where it touched it that will last for weeks and itch like MAD. Is that normal? I...

    Effects of treating for pop-eye

So, when adding carbon, how is that done? I do not have a sump.... I have a protein skimmer that hangs off the back of the "display" tank. Would I just put a bag with carbon in it just before the outflow? What would I be seeing specifically that would indicate water changes are not enough? Ack...

    Tank for a year--still a beginner

Quick question--so, I have.... well, now HAD a couple blue mushrooms in my tank along the bottom that had been doing great. A couple days ago I noticed both looking a little pouty and thought that it may have been the light having just switched on, but after a couple hours, they still looked...

    Tank for a year--still a beginner

And another question-- about clown fish. They are pretty quirky creatures with odd habits it seems from the ones we have had. Regardless, I totally love them! But anyway, every now (I have a mated pair) one will do this weird vibrating thing that looks like a seizure! Sometimes it will be up...
