I see you have some Hawaiian Leptastrea...you should snap a picture of the leptastrea we got not too long ago from Barrier. I'd refer to a name, but I don't think one was ever given...it was on a square plug though:oops:
---- Has anyone heard anything about these lights?? Any press releases?? This is the description that is on the website, although this is really ALL that is there...literally. I found this on www.pacificsunusa.com which is the old website for Pacific Sun LED lights that we all know. I...
I could be wrong, but I think the brown stuff is probably the anti-clumping agent they use in the salt. I can't remember if my Tunze mixes have ever done that or if it looked different. I know that the last time I mixed Tunze salt there was a noticeable slime on the mixing container, however I...
Okay I just emailed him at the [email protected] address. Hopefully I will hear back soon. I will let those specifically interested in this news, know directly.
So this must be this ReefTech I see that replaced the PacificsunUSA website. I gotta say that kinda worried me a bit when I saw that. It looked like another company had bought them out and would possibly had left us PSLED buers stranded. I'm glad to hear that this may not be the case.
I have the Black Python Master and Slave and the lights are working perfectly...schedule that I have set up works...blue tooth works...however the screen will turn to giberish(sp). In order to reset the info on the screen I have to do a hard restart(unplug->plug back in) and the screen will go...
Has anyone heard from Rafal at all? Just curious since I have having a small problem with my light. I tried to go to their US site www.pacificsunusa.com and it looks to be a completely different aquarium LED company....??:confused::confused:
Honestly, I am part of another forum(not aquarium or reef related) that requires a financial donation to have access to the buy/sell forums. On top of that they have a 90/100 policy. I have no problem financially donating to the site...in fact I tried but Chuck gave my money back haha...
The numbers are high, however I have successfully run a SPS reef for a while now with numbers that are higher than these. I keep my calcium around 500-550 and Mag around 1550. I get lots and lots of growth and tremendous PE. Nothing wrong here.
I've never used the Red Sea, however Magnesium is not an easy test to do. I have a Seachem test kit which requires you to drip into different vials through a cotton filter and all kinds of weird stuff. One of the most time consuming and PITA tests to do.
You ususally are not going to spot them swimming in the water; and if you do they will be doing a little wiggle-worm swimming maneuver. They will be found on your rocks or on the substrate, usually under a ledge or something...just typically in a low flow area. They can be pretty tough to see...
Honestly, I have API, Salifert and Elos kits for dKh and I find the API to just be easier to use. It may not be the most accurate...but it is close enough for what I need. The Elos is okay...but you have to use twice the amount of reagent to get a reading. With Salifert you have to use a...
