    Fish stung by anemone

Well if he doesn't pull through, I have a very handsome Vlamingi Tang that you can have. He really needs a new home. Looks exactly the same as your avatar and more than likely the same size. He is already starting to grow the lump on his nose...just barely.

    need help ASAP

Oopsy, shouldn't hurt the tank and like Herefishyfishy said there are a lot worse things than coffee. Was it at least a good blend?

    Echinopora dying

So what, specifically, did you do to change your tank/water quality etc...to save the coral?

    Brine Shrimp

That's great info! I have some brine shrimp egg packet thingys that I have been thinking about raising but have yet to do so. I am going to follow your link and give it a good shot! Thanks!

Rock Candy method for keeping your corals clean.

Just looking at the picture, it definitely shows the coral encrusting the cord completely. What I image the best thing to do is to cut the corals on either side of the encrusted cord and then attack those plugs. I might just try this very very soon.

Rock Candy method for keeping your corals clean.

That I don't know...it states that Ken uses telephone cord to tie it up. I am assuming the reason why is so the line will be stiff enough to keep the coral as straight down as possible; otherwise they may get tangled with eachother in the current. It definitely looks like the coral is...

Rock Candy method for keeping your corals clean.

Couldn't find any others so I just snapped a photo out of CORAL magazine.

Rock Candy method for keeping your corals clean.

There is a great article in this month's issue of CORAL magazine about restoring the reefs with Ken Nedimyer. In it he takes Sankay Joshi and the writer to Ken's propagation area in the Florida Keys where Ken uses this method to more quickly grow his corals. It's pretty cool to see and to...

Can too many pods be bad for my Reef???

I'm not quite sure to be honest...but I would imagine that it is not. More than likely you saw an Amphipod(pretty sure those are the larger ones) which are really great natural food for anything in the system. Really, having a lot of pods is a sign of a healthy system in my experience. Heck I...

Want to borrow a battery operated air pump

You said building 36, I just figured you were a Boeing employee. It's the only company I know that has one trillion different buildings.

Want to borrow a battery operated air pump

That wouldn't be 40-36 by any chance would it?

Oh no my new Acro :(

Outside in the wood pile or in the tank? :D:lol: Glad to hear it's doing good!

    Xenia dying off

+1 I have noticed this too. SPS love low nutrient conditions and when my SPS take off my pulsing xenia doesn't. The way I have been able to keep it up and alive is making sure to keep it in a relatively low flow area so any nutrients in the tank bind up in that area. I have a lot of success...
