Do you have a picture of it over the tank?

    Skimmer only filtration

I actually have a 50 gallon cube running with anemone's, lps and a few sps and quite a few fish for nearly a year flourishing with just a hob skimmer heater, two power heads and leds

    Skimmer only filtration

Not looking for critiques from 'experts'. Just curious if anyone else has ran a successful reef with just a hob skimmer occasional bag of carbon and 10% h2o changes every few weeks?

    Camera

Photography and Reefkeeping are EXTREMELY similar. If you stick around long enough it is addicting and expensive, you get what you pay for and more than likely the store put together 'combo deals' you will find to be less than subpar. Not to take anything away from combo deals by any means...

    Camera

No matter the camera spend your money on lenses. I have nearly $6,000 in lenses that have seen 4 different cameras. They'll out last the camera technology and will go with you onto the next camera (unless you pick crop-sensor only lenses and go full frame) Like someone said the 50mm 1.8 is a...

    IPisces' 180

Great tank and love the pics! White balance cannot be stressed enough with photography, especially with the lighting Reefers use.

Here's a quick one. I'll see if I can't definitely get another better one soon. (Red Planet, I believe)

Oceans by Design aquarium led light fixtures

Sent an email about these through the email on your facebook account. Haven't received a response (it's only been half a day) just wasn't sure if there was a better way to contact with questions. Thanks! Great looking units.

If it can't be two species. Black/white clowns are another favorite.

Took this of my friends ray and tang. LOVE rays and the tang happened to be hanging out with him/her.

~ August ~ Reef Frontiers ~ Pic of the Month ~

This was just a quick snapshot from my phone when I was transferring a pair of clowns from a tank I was emptying.

    Thoughts on an octopus tank

Is cold-water or a native tank an option? You can expand your options if you go that route as well.

    Bio Cube home make over

Is that plexi or glass you used to reinforce the hole? Also what adhesive did you use? I have a hairline crack down the backside of one of my biocubes I need to reinforce. I was thinking of sandwiching plexi on both sides but wasn't sure what adhesive would work well, and what you did looks...

    SEA-MAX 2011 in Seattle, WA!

I agree that a lot of effort was put into it. And I have a TON of respect for those that put all the effort into it. I'm glad it was here, and hope it becomes an annual thing. I guess we'll just have to all hug it out from now on, rather than voice anything that might offend.

    SEA-MAX 2011 in Seattle, WA!

Isn't that what complaint "boxes" are for. For those in charge to take opinions into consideration, to better there product/service? Or for those to just become defensive and put wall's up? Just thought I would voice opinions (not only from me but a couple of my friends who ATTENDED as...

    SEA-MAX 2011 in Seattle, WA!

I think this is a great community where this event could really prosper. And like all new things will always work better the next time(s) around. I hope they consider coming back with an open mind for all our "complaints" knowing it is only to try and better the experience for ALL.
