    I was out of town and lost my 6' clown tang..(awsome fish) 5" sailfin tang, 5" common wabbit fish, 1 of my maited pair of GSM clowns, the male has lived!, lost 2 of 3 green chromis.. I lost 2 (in seperate tanks) Coral beauties! somehow my yellow watchman goby survived and so did my 4" Niger...

    update, ya I got one, it's one of those forty dollar in line ones. it says my incoming tap water is 27ppm and out is 0.. when I take it out of line and put it in a cup of tap water it reads well over 200.. when i dip it in my filtered water I get a big fat zeroppm... so it isn't very...

    Well, now that we are on the subject of getting rid of them, This is a couple things that have worked great for me, even on larg Aptaisia!!! Their both easy to Kill! you can use one product by kent marine: Lliquid calcium, when it's time to dose some calcium just put 5ml. to 10ml. in a syringe...

    Lowes has the 90 degree barb fittings, I am not sure about flexible?? Is there anyway you can use the normal ones?? I am assuming they are threaded on one end and barb onthe other?

    Return pump for smaller tank

    second on the GenX pumps! I have one of the submersables and if you take off the back cover it has quite abit of rust building up in there, I took the first one back and this one's on it's way. it is also noisy, but doesn't creat any noticable heat.. It's still a P.O.S. in my opinion

    Too much UV exposure?

    From what I have read, you want lower flow (usually set by manufacture) so you will have longer contact time from the UV to the water, It makes sense if water is flying through there at 1000gph it would be too fast to be effective. Krish: try SPF 45.. hee hee hee hee JK..
