    moving the furnace/water heater The hot water heater is okay,however the furnace being located in close proximity will cause corrosion problems with the furnace heat exchanger.Make sure the return air ductwork is well sealed to limit salt residue from being drawn into the air.

    thanks for the insight and useful knowledge/By the way my plenum is set up underneath the display tank constructed in an 75g sump.The system has been up and running for 5mo.

    What is the maintenance required for the phelum set-up remotely?Should detritus that I have noticed settling on top be siphoned or left to be utilized by bacteria?

    Good eve. I don't know if this helps,but I didn't fed my BTA for over 6 six weeks it lived solely on the food from it's host algae,I,m probably quite luckly .I guess this would'nt apply in your case.Sorry I can't be more help[][]

    Carlos 60 gallon new tank

    Congrats on the new set-up looks like your getting ready for the big $wipe out but it's well worth it 60g is a nice start I started with a 75g acyrillic.

    Maybe I will call you Tang13, your BTA has'nt quite settled in probably after you get your water parameters stable and healthy it will recover and you can share some pics I will do the same when I get more computer/digital cam updated.(I also was born in the district and live in the suburbs...

    Acro Troubles

    Those are some astonishing looking clams I would like to add some to my set-up but have an blue cheeked goby in the tank that spits sand all over the place.Anyway if your maintaining water quality and flow is good the rest only time will tell.

    It seems happy at the moment hopefully it won't do the splitting trick anytime in the very near future,I've only had it for 3months it seems to be doing ok so far,most of the corals are frags and a few small colonies but i am fully stocked with everything i want in the tank,I think i will move...

    I have a bta in my tank under metal halide lighting high intensity and the bta would not stay out when the lights began staging on and reached full intensity.I have (2) 150w 20k that come on followed by (3) 250w 14k then (2)400w 10k it would retreat behind the rockwork as the brighter lights...

    Don't feel bad I have purchased Brand new lighting equip. that did'nt work unpon arrival and weighed to much to ship back and had to troubleshoot it and make the warranty repair myself. anyway new is always better
