    Who knows what size pump came on this skimmer originally or what pump should I replace it with? The magnet finally swelled up to the point that the skimmer stopped working last night. I was able to grind off some of the plastic around it to get it to work till I can figured out what to swap it...

    The venturi and hose have been blown out with air. the pump seems to move the water it isn't sucking the air.. If the pump isn't moving the amount it is supposed to then it wouldn't start the suction?? Where can I get a new pump impeller/ magnet assembly and when could you mesh mod it>>> :)

    What would cause my skimmer to not restart sucking air thru the venturi after turming it on. You have to blow air down the air inlet tube to get it to restart.... Ideas? I know the venturi is clean.

    I'm looking for a light fixture to put on my new 52 gallon cube. It is 24" I would like to put Mh or LED on this tank. Anyone have ideas? I have been looking at these fixtures also. IDEAS??

    plumbing ideas please

    I started using the 1/4" ball valve about 4yrs ago on my 120. It does seem to work very well. I modified it many times till it worked right. The only issue I ever had was a bit of salt deposit that would have to be cleaned out ever now and again. It stopped all of my flushing effect!!

    My tank is drilled for the drain in almost the center of the overflow and the durso needs to be over to the right. Sizes of pvc sound ok?? 1" return and 1.5 drain.

    Is it possible to put 2 45 degree bends in my durso stand pipe in order to move it over to the side in the sump? I'm set up to run a 1" return and a 1.5" drain back to the sump. Ideas?

    Started the stand today. Got the skelaton glued and screwed and realized it looked to tall so..... I dismantled it and shortened up the legs and got it back together. I'll let it dry for the night and then try and get som plywood cut tommorow. Then it will be time to seal it up and start...
