Is it "normal" to put a starfish in the tank so those shrimp have something to eat??? That seems pretty vicious.....

Thanks for the info Morgan!! I was actually on that site after I posted this question. Lots of valuable info there. Since I tend to get quite attched to my corals, I think I'll leave this species to the experts!!! Thanks again!! Diane

    Big snails or little snails????

Most of the snails in my tank are big, almost as big as golf balls. They are like a wrecking crew sometimes, knocking corals off their pedastools, so to speak. Are the smaller types of snails more effecient as far as cleaning??

    Feather Duster Placement?

Plant him in the sandbed. I have some in the sand and some that hitchhiked in on some rock. If he doesn't like where he's at, he'll move. Mine like a decent amount of water flow.

    Skimmer adjustment

So I had my new sump with ATO installed today. How often should I have to adjust the water level in the skimmer? (Euroreef 185) I know the level goes down after I feed or if I have my hands in the tank. It's been about an hour since I fed and the water level is still...

    i have a question.... lol

I had a small colony of pink ones that must have been knocked off the rock by my brittlestar. Found them three weeks later, they were all closed up, probably terrified by the whole thing, lol. Anyway, two days ago, they slowly started to open back up. They're not completely open but I can see...

I do that on a daily basis anyway, lol. Maybe that's my problem. Maybe I will paint some black stripes on my anenome as bait. :p

can you have to much light

I have 2- 250 mh on my 90 gal, 2 t5's, 2 canopy fans and keep my air conditioning set at 78. My temp stays around 78 to 80. I can't imagine have 4 of those suckers. Hope you don't put them in a room where you sleep, lol. :)
