    NSW from the Seattle Aqaurium - salinity adjustment?

    i have been using NSW from the Seattle Aquarium for over 10 years now with no issues. Been using it in both reefs and fish only tanks. Yes you need to adjust salinity at times but once you get it set you are good. I have set up to haul 1500g in one shot. Its still cheaper than making with dry.

    custom 150 acrylic by CFI with custom sumps. tank 60x24x24 with 1/2 acrylic, euro top with coast to coast over flow. ZERO BOW. Super build quality. Also 2 custom 24x24x16 sumps out of 1/2 acrylic. yes 1/2 acrylic. could park my f350 dually on it and wont break. CFI is the best around in my opinion.

    i wont ever use a glass heater again. i have been using the titanium heaters and they will never break.

    i have used several types of de bulbs and brands and I love the de pheonix bulbs. these have been my brand of choice for a while. i run 2x250w hqi and 4 t-5 and love the colors.

    i have been using the seattle aquarium water in my reef and fish only tanks for over 10 years and have never had any issues. yes calcium can be low but I do have a calc reactor.

    lost power.. tank down

    we lost power here in lacey at about 9pm last night. power finally came back on around 930 this morning. Did discover that my 4000 watt generator will run my 210 reef with everything but lights and chiller (did not try as it was not needed), 2 table lamps, stereo, cable box, tv and 2 cell phone...

    i have a coast to coast over flow with 2 x 1.5" drains straight down to 2 sumps that are plumbed together. super quiet and very nice.

    Do you run a chiller?

    i had mine inside then after getting tired of listening to it relocated it to the patio. i installed mine in a rubbermaid storage shed. much nicer than having it in the house.

    Kinds of "nori" to avoid?

    I rubbeband my nori to a pvc pipe and hang it in the tank. i use a 1/4 sheet a day and its gone in a matter of minutes. I also get mine from the asian market and get the untoasted no additives one. runs about 8 bucks for 100 sheets. been usingit for year with never an issue.
