    Octopus skimmer problem

The rubbber washer that is between the venturi and the pump is blocking the air hole . It is a common problem with that pump.Take of the venturi and look at the washer placement .You could notch it or dab a bit of super glue to hold it away from the hole .

    R/O water question

You can remove the polisher and use something like this . http://airwaterice.com/product/REFILLDIPACK BTW most people I know with ro/di get an average of 200g per di refill depending on the rejection rate of their ro membrane and intial TDS pre membrane.

    R/O water question

Why use a inline when you have the housing ? What are you going to put in the housing after removing the polisher?

    R/O water question

The sediment and carbon filter are essential . If you remove either of them your membrane will clog and become useless quicker.

    R/O water question

DI must be your final stage . Reason I say replace the polisher is because it is not useful . That polisher is for drinking water.

    Lighting Help Please

I agree when I used to bump mine the wrong way in the canopy they would flicker off . Even if I unplug them and plugged them back in they would turn on then right back off. Check the wiring connections again and end caps.

    R/O water question

You have a 5stage unit what are your stages? IMO if you have the ability to use DI I would as no ro unit will give you 0TDS water that DI is crucial to get the rest of the TDS out of your water . So yes I would use it . Do you have to ?No . I used plain ro water in my reefs for 3 years before...
