    How can i tell if my tank is glass or acrylic?

    just rub a sharp object on it.. if it scratches it's acrylic, if it doesn't then it's probably glass.. kidding.. don't do this. listen to the advice above, it's way better. :D:D:D and good luck!

    KevinPo and Electrokate hit it right on the nose - aeration and flow are your biggest concerns with temperature not an issue for you - lights not so much. I like the idea of battery powered airpumps if you can find them. Good luck!

    Anyone know if the sides of an AGA standard 55 is tempered or not? I tried contacting them recently, but it appears they've been bought out by a company called Aqueon and I'm afraid I haven't had much luck in the Q&A department over there.. just trying to avoid another mishap :D Ben

    This helps a lot actually- thank you. Here is my latest and (I think/hope) final design unless anyone has any better suggestions. the chamber with the live rock won't have much flow. the chamber with the chaeto and LS will ahve a little more with help of a MJ1200.
