Porcupine Puffer Only Eats Live Food

Good work Remo! Now that he is eating for you, don't forget to switch things up now and again... giving him Krill and/or other shrimp (shell, body and all), scallops, squid, muscles, clams. Even our fish enjoy a variety in their diet, and it also helps give them a more well rounded diet...

    Do you Agree with This?

I've voted using your clarifications. I feel the continued nipping is probably symptomatic of something much more major (incompatible fish/too small environment), and the "nipping" fish needs to be removed immediately, if not more (if the environment is determined to be too small).

    Internal/External bacteria...a ticking timebomb?

THAT is the problem, right there! You have asked in several posts for help, and been given some very good information. Ture, the information comes in the form of VERY LONG READING AND LEARNING. Lee has done a super job of giving us here at Reef Frontiers in depth information of how to care for...

    Tangs Tangs Tangs...

It is a beautiful looking tank, with all that activity in there! :D I would recommend you stop feeding "land" based food (romaine) and switch over to sheets of Nori, and other "SEA" based algaes for your Tangs. I think their health would be much better in the long run for you. I also am...

    Chevron tang and ich

Personally, I would go with a 20 long minimum for QTing tangs... just because they are "swimmers", and what as much length as possible. As for any one Tang being more of an "Ich-Magnet" than another... I do feel those like what you have mentioned (power blue, Hippo... and yes, my Achilles) are...

    So yeah...free stuff?

With a couple of float switches, that would make a very good "Auto-Top-Off" pump... if you're so inclined, or your system requires.

    Fungal Infections

Lee, How common is it, to find that one of our animals has a type of mold infection? Until the other thread started by Azgard1, I didn't realize this was something to be aware of. Thanks,

    Some sort of clownfish fungus?

It is a shame these fish aren't still in the Quarantine tank as had been recommended to you... so that what every treatment required could be accomplished WITHOUT having to add even more stress of capturing once again.

    New RO/DI Unit

I'm not positive from your post, what you are testing that you are receiving a reading of ".4". ??? Normally, people test TDS, or Total Desolved Solids. This is accomplished with an inexpensive meter (about $25ish). The "normal" TDS reading depends on several things... like the area of the...

Somehow... I kinda had that feeling already. ;) Best of luck with your setup! Remember, to try your best to continue moving SLOWLY, both for the health of your system, as well as the animals in your care. Keep the pictures coming! :D :D

    Nitrofurazone question

Buying Salt Part 2 - What Quantity?

Buying Salt Part 2 - What Quantity?

I do a 35 gallon water change weekly... so I purchase a 160Gallon bucket both for the cheaper price, as well as to ensure I always have what I will need onhand. I would sooo like to be able to purchase even more (several buckets, like Don does) to get an even more reduced price... but my better...
