    Questions , Questions

emerald mythrax crabs eat some kinds of bubble algae.Blue legged hermits seem to do a better job when the algae is very short. They can irritate corals and cause them to close up by climbing on them. They may also pull food out of corals when you feed.

    10k, 12k or 14k bulbs sps tank

both of my sps frag tanks are under coralvue 400watt 14k and I get great color and growth. They give a nice blue color. The 20k's were a little to blue for me and I lost some color on many of my acros.

    Need some help choosing skimmer...

If you are looking for a skimmer on a lower budget take a look at the coralife hang-on.I test about a dozen skimmers last year for an online company and all in all they weren't bad for the price. They are sensitive to adj. but once you get them there you don't have to mess with them much. CAULASTREA (Trumpet) - How long to open ?

Without knowing your set up it's hard to say.But closed up tight could be lighting.Make sure they are only recieving moderate light, especially the brown with turqoise centers. The brighter colored ones may prefer more light. When I get these in I always start them out toward the bottom of the tank.

    Pipefish

grahamsn; dragon face pipefish seem to do pretty good and are sometimes offered in mated pairs. The clown and especially the wrass will out compete the pipefish for food. They are slow methodic feeders much like seahorses.

    Goniopora......yikes

I have two in my system that are over 2years old.It seems for whatever reason we have the best luck with the red or blue goniapora. The neon greens seem to do the worst. We also have a red encrusting goniapora that we've had for a year and a half.
