    My 120 Gallon Softie Tank

Well thank you Krish. I had a few questions for Anthony Calfo regarding my softie tank, and to be honost, I got a little chewed on regarding the fact I have just another over stocked garden tank doomed for failure. On a brighter note, I am waiting to hear back from him as far as steps...

    CNC for acrylic projects

I am not familiar with using the software for making the cuts, and I dont know if making it 3 dimensional would be any help, but you can simply make that a 3 dimensional drawing by using the extrude command. Extrude it .25 inches for 1/4" material and you can use the orbit command to view it...

    Goby ID...

I dont know where he came from... I was givin him almost 2 years ago from someone leaving the hobbie, and they got him from a LFS. I guess I could ask the local fish store where they get there orders from.. that would help narrow it down huh!?

    My 120 Gallon Softie Tank

Its sorda based on the MR-2. I used basically the footprint dimensions and then made the rest out of scrap tube I had laying around. The sump I have originally had a built in skimmer (IAP150).. you can see I turned that into the top of the skimmer beast! I made my own flange to connect the 6"...

    My 120 Gallon Softie Tank

A couple more pics Here a couple more that I really think turned out pretty good.. considering I don't have a fancy macro / quadruple digit burn a hole in your pocket camera! Besides.. that saves more money for coral!:D and lights... and a "real" skimmer.... and... on and on on...

    My 120 Gallon Softie Tank

My aquarium is 120 gallon softie tank.. It has a shallow sand bed, (maybe a couple inches at best) There is about 100 lbs of live rock, mostly to allow the softies to grow UP... which will happen with time. My signature block covers most of all the equipment. I am running a diy skimmer that...

    Water Flow For Soft Corals

As far as water perimeters go.. things are all in check.... for the most part. 0 nitrate 0 nitrite 325 calcium (could be higher.. but softies don't require as much as stonies from all the reading I have done.. so I keep it above 300 but nowhere near 450) mag.. don't check phosphate... (my test...

    Water Flow For Soft Corals

Thank You for the response. I have been running my setup for almost 2 years, and I have not lost any corals in fact, they grow very well in my opinion:D . I have already had to frag a majority of the corals to keep them in check. I am currently running a Rio 2100 and a Seio 1500 for current...

    Really frustrated!!!!

Bummer Dont press so hard next go round, let the drill bit do the work. IF the bit isnt sharp.. it wont cut cleanly, and it will force you to press harder. Take your time. Patience is a virtue! (and cheaper)

    How to catch pods?

I would recommend really really really small hooks.. and small peices of worm or something... Thread is to big.. but im sure a hair of some sort may work for string.. they dont fight hard... so dont be afraid of getting your arm yanked off or anything! :D

    Custom acrylic Tank

Just double checkin the gallons..... You might want to double check your math. Im getting more like 134 gallons. If weight is an issue, this may be a factor. 36 x 36 x 24 = 31,104 31,104 / 231 = 134.6 gallons I dont know how thick of glass you plan on using, but even 1 inch glass would...

    Cwazy 40 Gallon Project@@

If you want your clowns to lay eggs and try raising the fry... it wont help having the shrimp in there. They will eat the eggs.. If your not... I think it sounds great! Sounds like it will make a great tank! Keep us updated with pics!
