    Camera choice?

Will the lenses from my old Canon EOS 10S work on a Canon digital SLR? or are they different lenses? I've been thinking about upgrading to a digital SLR but I would love to keep all my old lenses, esp. my macro ones.

    which heaters to buy??

I like Jagers, but I also like Rena Cal Top Light excel's--They have been very accurate for me, easily set with single degree clicks, and I like any heater with a light on it that informs me that it is INDEED operating...the Stealth heaters are crap, by the way, IMO.

    Euphyllia glabrescens question

I have 2 hammers and a frogspawn, along with a bubbletip anemone. When I brought home my Tomato clown my wife said "Watch, she'll go straight for the hammers and end up killing them." And once the clown was acclimated and out of QT, it went straight for the hammers. Swam right past the...

To Skim or not to Skim

If using a skimmer with a refugium setup, should the skimmer be inline prior to the refugium? I use a slightly undersized skimmer on my system--an Aqua C Urchin--along with a large refugium.

    Clicking Sound at Night???

No broken shells...God--I hope I don't have a Mantis shrimp! Are they active at night?

    Sunlight through a window

How come it seems like my bulb tip anemone hides itself from the light then? It tucks itself into crevices, out of the majority of the light? You'd think light-loving creatures would seek out the light!

    Clicking Sound at Night???

Lately I occassionally hear a clicking sound coming from my display tank--only after lights out. I don't own a snapping shrimp--unless it was a hitchhiker on my LR. Any ideas on what could be causing this noise?? It's driving me nuts!

    Are Barnacles OK?

I found a small cluster of barnacles attached to a gorgonian I placed in my QT. Are they reef safe? If so, could they become a pest problem? And if so, any suggestions as to removal from the gorgonian w/o damage?

    Viewing Device??

sitting here fiddling with my 300 mm SLR lens and a suction cup--LOL! Now if it was on a Digital SLR. My wife is soooooo gonna want to kill me when she sees the Christmas and birthday wish list she asked for!

    gorgonians

Fiji?! Really? Is it super inexpensive? (thinking about snorkeling for critters for my tank already) By the way, Brendan, I have a white boxer and an English bulldog, both of which have faces like your pic!

    gorgonians

Well...maybe one more..lol. So, what's the cost of living like in the Bahamas, Krish? I keep looking for somewhere where my retired pay will go further.

    Critique my setup please

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that the minimum effective depth for a deep sand bed was 5"

Most Common Mistake you see....Please add one and move on so all can share..

Being bullheaded and suffering through numerous rock slides...can anyone say Avalanche...before finally accepting the fact that gravity affects things in water, too. Learned the hard way to drill, anchor and epoxy the rockwork!

    Viewing Device??

Okay--thanks. WOW! $500 is a lot of money for an eyepiece though. Wonder if you can attach a camera to it? For that matter, wouldn't a SLR camera lens work almost as well? Things that make you go Hmmmm....

    Viewing Device??

I seem to recall seeing a device which attached to your tank and allowed magnified viewing of select areas. Anyone familiar with this product or something similar? If so, does it work? Product name, cost, etc? Thanks:D

    coral i.d.

If they are rising from a mat, then they are probably Anthelia. Hard to see, but it doesn't look like they have a common trunk.

    triggers

Nikki, I saw pic in gallery of your Ringens Trigger--is it in a reef? and is 25cm max. as listed the correct size? sounds like it might be on the low side. Great looking fish, BTW.
