Im looking at a coralife single 150w 2 64w pc 2 led fixture or a Nova extreme 4 39w t5. Id have to cut the center brace out for the MH and im not sure if it would spread light all over the tank.

True its super flimsey it looks like 3/16" thick. It just dosent seem like its needed. The tank isnt filled with water but if it were i think it would help with support.

I have heard people cuting out the center brace on 46 gallon bow fronts so they can run a metal halide over the center. Your thoughts about this? It seems like a bad idea, it is there for support.
