Acrylic Tank Build Bracing ???? JASON !!!

I am using 3/4" Plexiglass-G 32'' x 25'' x 22'' high. Do I need to eurobrace? Can I just brace the top in the center with 3'' to 5'' brace? Were do I get the right spacers to do the glue up. How thick should they be. How long do I let the weldon sit before I pull the spacers?

I thought Plex-Glass was a no-no for tank building? I was sure that only cell cast acrylic was the only material, besides glass, that can be used? As for a brace.... I would make a 2" lip around the top edge if you don't want a brace across the middle. In that case of using a euro brace I would go with no less than 1/2" thick arcylic minimum. Hopefully someone else chimes in and either corrects or verifys my response.

Pull the spacers as soon as the weldon has filled the area being welded and there is no air gap or bubbles left. Make sure there is a little pressure applied and something to stabilize the piece for the recommended amount of time (24hrs?)

When I built my sump, I used Acrylic. I did as 07FocusSt noted - ran a lip around the entire top surface and across the 2 sections where I had baffles. I'm sure either just the outer lip or a brace across the center may do. I'm sure someone who's had more construction under their belt should chime in.
