just got my new pump...it is so tight behind my tank, it is not funny.. it almost doesn't fit..i just glued my last two pipes..i will be trying it out late tonight when the glue has dried..wish me luck:)

Hey...That looks good man. It came out real nice! How come you only painted half of it? Was it because the paint was toxic?

only the top half of the intake and return will be showing...i actually painted it the first time, then i realized i made part of it and it wouldn't fit, so i rebuilt it and decided not to paint the bottom..the outflows will grow coralline on it,so i don't really care about that:)

i had a leak!!!! i forgot one of the threaded couplers and it was barely leaking so i took apart....that's when i lost about 2-3 gallons..got it fixed...sounds like air is stuck inside...can't you just turn it off for a few seconds and get them out... i have tried this and it sounds the same.. it's pretty loud

To get the air out you usually just have to turn off the pump, let the lines fill with water and re-start it. Did you close the cap on the intake tightly before running it? I've also noticed the less bends in th plumbing the better. When I switched to the flex pvc and took out all the hard bends everything ran better and smoother:)

yes, but u can't fill it to the top..it just flows back into the aquarium

Yeah, well that would mean you have it filled to capicity then and the air should have worked it's way out...

i have a junk digital cam...the elbows are all glued and threads taped.it may just be how it soun ds..it still blows out huge bursts of bubbles every now and then.. it is turned off right now.. i had to take 10 g of the water and start a qt for a fish...the intake started sucking air when the water level dropped a couple inches, so i turned it off till my salt is mixed tomorrow and i can add more water back

Cool...Yeah, I use to get bursts of bubbles now and then, but nothing to talk about. One thing I thought of...Where is your intake in relation to the output? The reason I asked is because if you are spitting bubbles into the tank and the pump is sucking it right back in, then you will just be spitting out bubbles over and over. Also, sometimes your plumbing needs to slime up a bit before you get rid of the micro-bubbles, so don't get too frustrated just yet:)

i thought about the intake also..i'm sure it is sucking in some bubbles,it has to be.

this is on your 75g? mine doesn't seem to have enough room for that the way i have it setup
