Jason how quite is the overflow setup you went with here? I want to go with the Herbie setup but I love how you have the return, no plumbing in the system, looks so clean!

I can tell you, the only thing you can hear when sitting within a couple feet of the tank is the vortech powerhead.

Very quiet...It was a little loud for the first couple weeks but now it's near silent.

Yeah, I think Mexico would be the last place I'd be going right now. I doubt you'll read this until you get back, but hope you had a lot of fun and everything was ok. Call me and we'll make a run up to Barrier.

It's way over hyped! We had absolutely no problems at all except for the crazy taxi cab drivers and a boat incident:lol: The tourist spots are just fine and we had a great time!

Actually surprisingly good! I was a bit worried with the hot weather and having a friend look after it but all is well! Lots of new growth in just a week since dosing kalk the last couple weeks and some colors are starting to take off! Only problem is the cap seemed to lose quite a bit of color. I think the temp spiked one of the days possibly but I'm not sure. Also had a little algae bloom while I left but it's not to bad. Just need to do a 25% wc and change the carbon and I'll be good to go!

Stupid vortech wet side impellar shaft broke on me this morning! Might be awhile for pics...

Nope it's still on there. It somehow overheated and snapped the shaft in half. :lol:
