Hi, I'm new on Reef Frontiers.

May I present myself via this link : http://freddy.coralworld.be/

I'm installing a new tank 150 x 150 x 70 cm and am going to light it with 4x Lumenarc III reflectors and 400 watt bulbs and Lumatek ballasts.
My question : is a certain distance between the ballast necessary to have no distortion between them?

Thank you very much for your help.

If I remember correctly, my 250w lumatek ballasts stated 6" distance between them. Lumatek customer support is great, a phone call would not hurt. They are located in California, Bay Area. Good Luck!

Welcome to Reef Frontiers!!! Your tank pictures are incredible!

I am so glad you posted this question....I just had a new tank and lights installed (actually been having a lot of problems with this install) and the lights have ballests with them which is the first time I have had lights with seperate ballast. Well they had stacked the ballasts one on top of the other. I did not think anything about it until I saw this thread...got the manual out and they state at least 4" is required between the ballast. So thank you!
