Not around my camera at the moment(standing in line for halo3!). The elos bulkhead has the nut part on the inside of the tank, which aparantly causes the gasket to get torqued when you try to install the gasket on the inside. I tried it twice with it on the inside, and both times leaked. That is my only complaint about elos though, no instructions for the noobs!=P

Still in line for Halo3:?::) :?::?::oops::D:) if no.. let's see some pics of this beauty and how it sits in your new place

Maybe I'll have to hold your beautiful hammer as ransom until you post some pics for everybody.

Were still waiting.

PM sent.

Hey Duane - Perhaps that picture you sent me last night of the hammer hog-tied and gagged would help Jesse's little battery charging situation :badgrin::badgrin::badgrin:

Can't wait Jesse! :D:D:D

OK ok Im posting! I want a picture of my hammer alive, holding todays newspaper!

Sorry about the small images. This site really limits you one what you can upload, even with a full account. Ill find someplace I can upload full res images too later...

As you can see things are just kinda scattered around the tank at the moment. I have 60 Lbs of some pretty good rock curing, so well see how much that fills the tank up.
The move went pretty well. There are a few crabs and one fish still hold up in trido's tank, and I had some STN on a few of my bigger colonies, but hopefully they will be ok. If they dont start looking better in a few days I may frag em down, but Im not worried. Dont know what caused it, other then I did the transfer on a colder day, so that may have effected things.
Peace

Yay!... the sand is so clean. Those blues are really singing. And I love your rabbit fish. I need to get me one of those. what type is that one?

bet you can't wait till you get the new rocks in there.

what's up with the STN though? is it bad? which one's are having issues? looks like the bob Moore base is receeding. let me know if I can help.

Looks like a real nice set up. The colors of your corals look great to.

The bob moore, my phallic pink mili, and the green slimer are showing signs. My purple haze is too. I think Ill put some glue over the dieing areas and see if that helps.

Not entirely sure on the fish yet.
Ill defintly get a mandrin eventually, a school of anthias, a tang of some sort, but after that Im not realy sure. With my 38g I didn't have many fish options, so I didn't spend much time reading up on fish. That area of the hobby is new to me.

Wow! that is quite the variety of corals with STN. A little from both of the baby sitting tanks. How are the parameters in the new system? I hope all is well.

My alk/calc dipped pretty low for a few days but they are up to normal now.. OH and I put my calcium at 500+ thanks to a bad calcium test kit. I dont have my calcium reactor up yet, so im doing the dosing by hand at the moment. Getting some kalk ready tonight. I havent tested anything other then calcium/alk/SG though.. Maybe I should =P Im going to pick up some carbon tomorrow and run that as a precaution.

Peace

The "other" tests were as expected.

mg:1290
nitrate:.02
phosphate:.01
amonia:0
Calcium:~470(still waiting for it to come down some)
Alk:8dkh

Most of the corals seem to have stopped STN after the glueing. Unfortunetly the table acro was knocked out of its hold and spent a night in the sand and I lost some more of it =\ Only the purple haze and the table are still STN'ing. Considering those are my only losses from the move, I wont complain. Im sure Ill be able to frag both the table and monti.

Peace

So I am a noob when it comes to getting LR ready for the main tank. I have all the rocks sittin in my spare tank, and the amonia is gone, but the nitrates, nitrites are still super high. What do I have to do now to get them ready? Just do a few 100% water changes and see if they continue to leach out nitrates?

Also, there is a mantis shrimp in there. How do I get undesirable critters off my rocks? When I first set up my reef I just picked them off as they appeared in my display, but that wont work this time around, since my display is filled with delicate inverts and corals.

Any tips?

I did make two smaller PVC structures so far, so as soon as these rocks are ready Im going to throw em in and strap on the rocks. If I can successfully keep the structure hidden, which I think I can, then its going to look pretty sweet!

Something that seemed to help me was I had 2 containers full with water. One where they had been curing, the second with fresh clean saltwater. Every couple weeks I'd shake the rocks off in the vat of old water, then move them to the fresh Saltwater vat. Not sure if this is the correct way to do it or not, but I did it and it seemed to work.

On another note, how about your corals jesse? how are they fairing?
